250x250 - NOOK Simple Touchâ„¢ with Glowlight Like many others these days we all have some sort of credit issues, but what can we do about it. well believe it or not there is a lot of tips and tricks that we can do to get those scores up again. First thing we need is a credit report to see exactly what we are up against. Once you get your report you will notice a lot of inconsistency's on it and there are ways to correct these. That's were a dispute letter comes in, with a dispute letter you can question everything on your credit history ans once the credit bureau receives your dispute they have thirty days to address the issue or they have to remove it from your history. that's one way. If you have a account in collections relax, those are with out doubt one of the easiest to have removed. Your original creditor has already written of your debt, sold it for pennies on the dollar to the collection agency and whipped their hands of it. Credit card companies only hold original records for about 13-18 months and if dispute the debt with the collection agency they must produce original records from the original creditor, not the record's that they say they have obtained, those records are meaningless, and you can actually have all that info removed from the credit agency with a letter threatening a law suit and believe me it works. Most collection agency's are not licensed and the only thing they are good for is harassment. With a good arsenal of dispute letters you can have almost anything removed with some exceptions, bankruptcy, Liens, Child support, everything else we can tackle. First rule of thumb, start slowly with one item at a time and address that with a dispute letter.. Wait to hear back from them and if they say your dispute is frivolous then we send another letter asking for original documents from the original creditor and see where that goes but by all accounts that should be it but if it's not we then send a 623 letter. remember to send everything certified mail so you have get a receipt because remember they have to comply with in thirty days or it has to be removed..there are many more actions we can take to have these issues resolved. You should never have to spent more then one hr a week working on these options and we can show you all the in's and out's if you are interested in tackling this yourself, for more info you can read more here.
